ARCHEOLOGICAL TOUR
|
Journey back in time when you visit these islands that were home to our native Calusa civilization for over 1,000 years. Learn about the textiles they made and how well they lived in harmony with their surroundings, see the canals and central water court that they dug and, of course, the magnificent MOUNDS that they built for their chief and other nobility. A real local history lesson. Sponsored by the Randell Research Center, a research and education program operated by the Florida Museum of Natural History at the Pineland Site Complex, Lee County, Florida. 4 to 5 hours
